rules & regulations


  • PRODUCER must abide by all building and safety requirements for motion picture use including fire, building and safety regulations regarding audience shows, the use of special effects, etc.

  • There must be a 4' clearance totally unobstructed, adjacent to all walls a round the perimeter of each stage and must be enforced by Producer.

  • Fire extinguisher hose must be inspected by PRODUCER and be used only for emergency purposes. Any damage to or disappearance of this equipment will be the responsibility of PRODUCER.

  • Lighting, catwalks, camera platforms, cable troughs, etc., may be suspended from the grid only, suspension must be made in such a manner as the equalize grid loads so as not to exceed ten (10) pounds per square foot over the entire grid area. Suspension from t russes is ABSOLUTELY prohibited.

  • All personnel working aloft are required to have proof of fall protection training. Fall arrest is required above 4 feet, unless PRODUCER puts in compliant handrail system. Fall arrest is required at any point when work is required over the railing. Fall arrest is required when working on all STUDIO catwalks, platforms or other access above 4 feet. PRODUCER is prohibited from accessing the roof.

  • Cleanup of painting equipment and disposal of paint, solvents, etc., must be ac complished pursuant to rules and regulations as established by the City, County, State, and Federal governments. Violations causing the disposal of these liquids into utility tubs, street and/or gutters will be a violation of city ordinances and any citations will be the responsibility of PRODUCER. Discharging industrial waste (paint brush rinse water, solvents, rinse liquids and grease, etc.) into sinks, floor drains, storm drains, etc., is prohibited. Paint and paint-related waste must be managed as hazardous waste. Food related waste cannot be discharged on-site.

  • All construction, painting, preparation and related storage must be done inside the stage and is not permitted in parking lots, lobbies, hallways or any place other than the licensed premises.

  • For all welding, pyrotechnics, open flames and flammable materials , PRODUCER must obtain any LAFD and building and safety required permits, licenses and/or other required documentation prior to use or storage.

  • PRODUCER shall not light fires or discharge firearms, smoke effects or pyrotechnics on our about the Premises without first obtaining written consent form STUDIO, and thereafter obtaining all necessary permits from any and all appropriate governmental authorities.

  • Live ammunition is prohibited from being brought on lot.

  • All dumpsters must be ordered exclusively through STUDIO unless permitted otherwise at STUDIOS’s sole discretion.

  • Stage janitorial service and disposal of construction materials that cannot be made through the use of ordinary trash services provided, will be furnished at a fee through arrangements with STUDIO facilities manager.

  • No motor vehicles of any sort may be left on any stage overnight, unless the gas tanks are no more than 1/4 - 1/2 full and the battery has been disconnected. THIS IS A FIRE REGULATION.

  • PRODUCER must provide STUDIO with all names of all personnel authorized to request the Stage to be locked and unlocked during continued use of the Stage.

  • All pedestrian doors must be accessible and remain unlocked at all times.

  • A RED STUDIO personnel must be present at all times a stage is in use and will be billed accordingly.

  • Any and all filming that is to be done outside the licensed premises must be coordinated and approved in writing through STUDIO.

  • All lighting and grip equipment, electrical, rigging, lifts, expendables decking, trussing, screens, motors and other similar equipment must be ordered exclusively from the STUDIO.

  • Producer must have all power supplied by the STUDIO and is prohibited from bringing in their own tow plants and generators.

  • No sign, advertisement or notice may be exhibited, painted or affixed by PRODUCER on any part of, or so as to be seen from the outside of the Stage(s), without STUDIO’s prior consent. Any approved signs, whether on doors, posts or elsewhere, will be of a size, color and style acceptable to STUDIO in its sole discretion.

  • If PRODUCER uses a caterer, the PRODUCER must obtain location and schedule permission from STUDIO. Flooring surfaces must be protected under cooking areas. Power source to be approved by STUDIO and all power cords must be covered by rubber mats and taped down. A feed space charge may be applied if an outside caterer is used other than the STUDIO provided cater.

  • PRODUCER may only utilize emergency exit doors to access street parking production vehicles with prior permission from STUDIO management. A 12-hour notice is required to open fire doors and Studio security must be posted at each door.

  • Offices and dressing rooms may only be used in the quantity assigned for PRODUCER’S production, and for offices and dressing room purposes only. Any additional offices or dressing rooms required may be provided by arrangements with STUDIO management at an additional charge.

  • PRODUCER may not add their own locks to any premises.

  • All keys and badges must be obtained from the Security Department. Upon termination, all keys and badges must be returned within 5 business days of the last contracted date for the applicable premises or replacement charges will be applied.

  • Any and all photography outside the licensed premise is prohibited unless prior written consent is given by the Studio.

  • PRODUCER hereby acknowledges that PRODUCER’s use of the STUDIO’s Premises and/or Property under the terms and conditions of their Agreement is subject to the STUDIO’s long-term operations and STUDIO’s lessees and licensees. PRODUCER agrees not to interfere with or impede in any way the normal operations of the STUDIO, STUDIO’s tenants or licensees, in the course of PRODUCER’s use of the Premises.

  • It is understood and agreed that as an on-lot Stage PRODUCER, PRODUCER shall communicate with the PRODUCERS of any contiguous stage(s) through a mutually agreeable method, so as to e liminate any possibility of audio transmission interference with any other contiguous stage(s). It will be the responsibility of the company creating the noise to secure and pay for whatever means have been mutually agreed upon.

  • No animals, other than registered authorized dogs or cats owned by an employee, principal, agent or representatives of PRODUCER, are permitted on the STUDIO Property. Any employee or representative of PRODUCER who wishes to bring a dog or cat onto the STUDIO Property must first complete the current animal registration form of STUDIO, pay the applicable fees, presents required vaccination records, and at the time of first entry onto the STUDIO Property present the pet to be photographed for identification purposes (“Registered Animal of PRODUCER”). Each Registered Animal of PRODUCER must be kept on a leash and be under the control of an authorized representative of PRODUCER at all times while on the STUDIO Property. Each Registered Animal of PRODUCER is to be walked regularly and outs ide of the STUDIO Property. Except for times when the animal is being walked, each Registered Animal of PRODUCER must be kept inside PRODUCER offices that comprise part of the Leased Premises. PRODUCER will be responsible for cleaning up any mess or damage caused by any animal brought onto the STUDIO Property by or on behalf PRODUCER and will defend, indemnify, and hold STUDIO harmless from any loss, claim or liability brought against STUDIO based upon the conduct of any such animal. If any Registered Animal of PRODUCER exhibits aggressive behavior while on the STUDIO Property, STUDIO shall have the right to revoke any previous registration and upon any such revocation and request of STUDIO, PRODUCER will immediately remove the animal from the STUDIO Property.
